You know, if I recall, 100% of the genuine cases of rape on the barge have been committed by wardens against male inmates, so maybe you want to re-think who the "sharks" in your metaphor are.

You may not have noticed, but the inmates tend to police themselves here. Like it or not there's a fairly good imitation of a society in this place, and for all the murder and the stealing and the vigilante justice, rape hasn't ever been much of a problem here, and if it was? Then rest assured a good portion of the remainder of the inmate population would claim back their pound of flesh for the indiscretion.
