[In spite of the mild snark, there, she's still quiet as she leans over to pick up the mug of water and hold it out to him.]

You need fluids. Sit up slowly. Sip slowly.

[She leans over to help prop pillows.]

We're going to do things a little differently today, if that's okay. No shouting. No demands or ultimatums. Just talking.

[Biting her lip, Morgan sits back down. She glances up at Billy, then back at him.]

And if it's all right with both of you, I'd like it if Billy stayed. I...think I know whose face you're wearing. And I know it's rough. So there's not going to be any confronting, no accusations. I just want you to be safe, and I want to help you feel better without letting you go numb.

SKIPPING BILLY FOR A ROUND

[Reluctantly, he sits up (which his head objects to entirely) and accepts the mug, taking a slow sip of water-- which sends another wave of nausea through him, but this time he doesn't get sick all over the place]

[What? That's a change. He looks over at Billy questioningly, as though his friend might have some explanation, then at Morgan again. With a small shrug, he looks down at his cup and drinks again]

[She thanks all higher powers that could possibly exist that he didn't immediately jump to arguing. She wants to tell herself that she got it in her head to do this because she felt bad, but it probably helps that he looks like a kid right now; buys lots of sympathy points, but then being all sicky and pitiful helps too. The pirate looks up at Billy, raising an eyebrow.]

[Billy gives a small half shrug]

Sure.

[He still isn't entirely sure about why Morgan's changed her attitude so drastically over the last few hours, but he's willing to stick around for the sake of West at least.]

[Morgan sat forward a little, somewhat confidentially, bringing her hands together in front of her.]

You know I'm going to ask questions, so if it's all right with both of you, I'd like to even the ground a little bit. [Make it feel a little less like she was interrogating someone.] For every one that I ask you, Major, you can ask me one, too, and I'll answer it honestly.

[A glance.]

Billy, will you take part as well?

[Of course West doesn't like this idea, and he feels completely uncomfortable at the notion of this question and answer session. He tenses up immediately, but he's too tired and sick to get fighty]

[She nods, only looking slightly more confident than either of them.] What was her name? [She glances at each of them, realizing that either of them could probably give her different answers.]

[His eyes narrow and he frowns tightly]

Hannah.

[Another nod, and she moves again, sitting back, and she starts to cross her arms but forces her hands into her lap instead. It looks too defensive when she does that.]

All right. [She swallows, telling herself to stay away from the incident for the time being. It'll go there when he decides to take it there.] What were your first impressions of her, when you met her for the first time?

[He wasn't expecting that question. And he doesn't really have an answer prepared, but after a bit of thinking, he speaks flatly, without much inflection-- which is pretty much how Hannah herself spoke when the drugs kicked in, but he didn't know that]

She had just lost her father. So, she was quiet and withdrawn, as was expected.

[Morgan frowned, caught by a shock of empathy she hadn't expected.] What went through your head when you first learned that?

[He shrugs. He doesn't want to say that he didn't want to speak to her, get to know her in any fashion, as he knew what was to come.]
