I have an announcement for the Wardens aboard this vessel:

You are no different from us. You are not saints, you are not 'good people', and a great many of you aren't even qualified to look after a house plant, let alone a person. You are killers, thieves, lunatics, sociopaths, just like the rest of us. In fact, the only thing that separates you from the rest of us is opportunity. You had the opportunity to strike a bargain with the Admiral, the choice to come here, whereas ourselves, we had no trial, no chance to speak in our defence, just death followed by punishment.

The line between Warden and Inmate is nothing more than a fabrication, supported by force, firepower, and a set of keys. You've made it perfectly clear that you and yours have nothing to answer for, nobody to hold you accountable, while we have everything to answer for, everybody looking over our shoulders.

But not anymore.

Change has arrived to the Barge. Call it what you will: mutiny, rebellion, revolution, riot... We are now taking matters into our own hands and tearing down the unjust system you have supported through your service here.

We have your colleagues, and we are armed. All that we request of you, right now, is to listen to us, and this can all end peacefully. No bloodshed. I promise you. All we wish is to achieve equality and rid ourselves of the titles 'warden' and 'inmate'.

Surrender your Warden 'Items' and your weapons. Surrender our files. When we have taken that which grants you superiority over us, then we'll discuss things like civilised people.

Now, I'm certain there are those among you who think to take back the Barge by force, or perhaps hold the threat of a permanent death over our heads, but let me make something very clear to you:

Strike at us, and you will only be harming your friends. And for every Inmate you don't restore, we will hold you accountable-- and if not you, one of your colleagues.

Oh, and we've taken the food supplies, so please don't think that 'starving us out' is an option.

Come to the Dining Hall, with the requested items. And try to be reasonable.

Yeah. No, this isn't going to work. I know where you're coming from, but is it so hard to see that the things that separate you from us are actions like these? It's one thing to dismiss the moral superiority of the "opportunists", but you're actually demonstrating here and now the kinds of behaviors that landed you in this situation, asking for rule while calling it equality.

Also, I feel obligated to ask: seriously, you guys, are you working with the Master at all? Does that not give you any pause whatsoever? You want files? Oh you can have his file. Talk about first against the wall when the revolution came. Honestly, "sociopaths just like you", yeah, except in his case.

The Wardens have shown that they're perfectly willing to beat us down like dogs for no reason at all-- and that they will suffer no consequences when they do so. They'll never speak to us as equals, and they will never listen to us. Actions such as these are simply to ensure that our voices are heard.

They ensure a hell of a lot more than that. With a Warden-Inmate relationship, I'm pretty sure equality isn't the top priority for a reason. The power can be abused, but it's not going to accomplish anything and it's certainly not the goal. Using the Master as an extreme example, do you see why this kind of power might be necessary?

I'm glad to hear that. I hope you can police yourselves for as long as this lasts, because I'm not going to be held responsible for any shit he pulls while I can't get at him.

And under the new system, dangers to the whole of us-- such as he and his ilk-- will be taken care of on a more permanent basis. Fates will be decided by all of us, peers, not just the Wardens.

He'll stay away from us, if he knows what's good for him. The orders are to shoot him on sight.
