123 - Update: West still hates wardens.

We have Wardens talking about a lockdown. We have Wardens complaining about it being too excessive and taking a public stance against it. So, which is it? Would it kill you lot to send ONE CLEAR, CONSISTENT MESSAGE, for once?

It's absolutely pathetic. Honestly, I don't even care either way if there's a lockdown; I'd just rather know what I'm meant to do before I get tossed in Zero for "disobedience," or some such nonsense.

Oh, and thank you for washing the corridor with blood. It reeks now.

Ideally, it should be the head of security's decision, but even I'm unsure precisely who that now is.

I'm sorry, but since when was Security in charge of that? I was under the impression that all wardens had an equal say.

I'm only going by my own experience, Major West: Security matters, such as locking down a facility, should be within the jurisdiction of those placed in charge of it.

Placing the head of security in charge of that puts entirely too much power in one warden's hands.

That's usually why they're vetted so thoroughly and are accountable to a superior: A fixed maximum length of heightened security, subject to review, once the immediate danger has passed.

In my experience, brevity is vital for dealing with emergencies.

...except they aren't here.

Nevertheless, I've yet to find another system as efficient.
