085 - West, how hard is it to just say "GIMME BOOZE"?

Out of curiosity, are we granted access into the pub if we have Warden accompaniment? Not our own, but rather, any Warden? I'm in the mood to unwind with a good drink, but given the circumstances, am finding it close to the 'impossible' end of the spectrum.

If it's at all possible for me to 'cross the threshold,' then, would anybody care for a drink and some company?

[OOC: QUESTION - Anybody up for MANLY POKER GAME, PART... whatever? West may encourage other Inmates to smuggle bottles from the pub if this "get drunk with careless Wardens" thing works out]

she's in a somber mood

I would love to have a drinking buddy. If you want, I can get a bottle of booze and bring it to your common room. That solves the Warden permission issue.

He's all "EHHH a GIRL." in his head

That sounds fine. I don't believe we've met, however. Major Henry West.

Daisy, Daisy Adair.

What's your poison?

I'm perfectly content if it isn't swill. And I certainly wouldn't protest a well-aged scotch.

Fair enough.

Which floor is your common room on?

Third floor.

[OOC: Yup!]

Spam! - sorry, no dialogue from her this time :(

[Daisy, noticing her item is too large to carry around, unscrews a dial from her 1937 cabinet radio and brings it with her to the pub. She rummages around behind the bar looking for a good scotch and finally finds one, then she snatches a bottle of vodka for herself. She doesn't figure they need glasses, they can just drink out of the bottle. It's one of those days. But, before leaving, she thinks better of it and grabs two glasses anyway.

Once in the third floor common room, she sits in a cushy chair and sets both bottles and the glasses on the coffee table in front of her. She pours her own drink and pushes the scotch bottle toward West.]

[West is already in the common room, standing around, when Daisy enters. He remembers her, vaguely, from the last time she was here, but they were never close, so her lack of prior Barge memories doesn't upset or disturb him. The way she just gets right to business, however, without any of the requisite small talk, throws him off. As Daisy sits, he sits, too, and pours his own drink]

Cheers.

[He almost feels awkward about breaking the silence.]

[She drinks in silence for a while, too caught up in her own memories to care much about her companion. She thinks of Ray and what a big mistake he turned out to be. She thinks of Mason coming to her rescue and wishes she hadn't treated him so badly before she left. She really regrets that. Finally though, she comes back to herself and decides to make small talk.]

So, what did you do before you came here?

[The question catches West off-guard. He takes another drink, then sets the glass down, glancing aside for a moment before giving a slight shrug]

I was an officer in the military-- the army, specifically.

[Well, okay, that's a redundant answer, since he had introduced himself as "Major." Still, it's going to take a lot more than one drink to get him to say anything else about it.]

And yourself?

I'm an actress.

[Daisy uses the present tense because she always considers herself an actress. It's who she is. She leans in as if to tell him something important.]

A really good actress.

Are you? [He smiles slightly, curious to learn more about where she came from.] Would I have seen you in anything?
