It's going to be hard. If I do it now, then a lot of the hard parts can be gotten past while he's getting better. I think he's gonna need someone to hold his hand, and I want it to be you.
[A pause, and she starts out.] I think he'd appreciate it too. I'll be back. [And she left the room to get that water. Maybe a bowl and a washcloth too. Cold compress might be a good idea if he starts vomiting again.]
